Wild Place: Julian Alps, Slovenia

Perched precariously on Mount Kanin, in Slovenia’s Julian Alps, architectural firm OFIS’ Kanin Winter Cabin takes mountain accommodation to new extremes. And this is an extreme place: more than 2,000 metres high, dotted with caves, abysses and ravaged by extreme wind, rain and snowfall.
