Winning gold at the Asian Championships just a few months ago, Kong’s bronze in the Women’s Epee at this year’s Asian Games might feel like a step down. But as a dual-bronze medallist at the 2014 Asian Games and the first Hong Kong fencer to win an Olympic bout in 2016, Kong knows how to put her opponents en garde.
