Conversation starter: aviation landmark
Strike up a conversation about Qingdao’s biggest infrastructure project: its new international airport in Jiaozhou. It’s expected to be operational by the end of 2019 and will connect to the city’s high-speed rail and subway systems. The airport is positioned as a regional aviation hub, in particular serving as a gateway to Japan and South Korea.

Wind down with colleagues at Q Bar, a lounge on the first floor of the Shangri-La Hotel Qingdao in the city’s downtown. The bar is known for live music and classic drinks done well, and has a daily happy hour from 6pm to 8:30pm.
