Top shops in Wuhan’s Li Huangpi Road District

A restored area in Wuhan offers shopping and restaurants amid historical surroundings

Stroll around Li Huangpi Road District and you’ll see why it’s nicknamed the Street Museum. With its golden days in the late Qing dynasty (early 1900s), the area features historic Western architecture that’s been carefully restored and given new life, with old churches, offices and prominent homes now housing cafes and boutiques. Head to these peaceful pedestrian streets and get a feel for the Wuhan of a century ago.
