Strike up a conversation about Qingdao’s biggest infrastructure project: its new international airport in Jiaozhou. It’s expected to be operational by the end of 2019 and will connect to the city’s high-speed rail and subway systems. The airport is positioned as a regional aviation hub, in particular serving as a gateway to Japan and South Korea.
