Hong Kong Sevens events around the city

You don’t need to be in the stadium to experience the energy of Hong Kong’s biggest sports event

From 23 March to 7 April 2019, the Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens Festival at Lee Gardens transforms the streets of Causeway Bay into a celebration of rugby, bringing fans together with games, music, food and performers. Here are the highlights, plus some other rugby events taking place during the Sevens weekend.

Rugby X Egg Snack Street Art

Take a stroll throughout the Lee Gardens area, where you’ll spy colourful wall murals and art installations on view.

Lee Gardens Eggssentially Art! 2019

Enjoy tasty egglettes, arty activities, installations and live music in this gastronomic and leisure zone. Dozens of market stalls will be serving traditional egg snacks and egg-based beverages.

CX and HSBC rugby game booths

These popular game booths feature rugby-related fun and the chance to win prizes, plus a photo booth to capture your best moves.

Hong Kong Tens

Just before the Sevens, the Hong Kong Tens see top players go up against each other in the 10-a-side game. Matches take place on the Hong Kong Football Club’s main pitch, inside Happy Valley Racecourse.

Hong Kong Women’s Sevens

The Women’s Sevens starts on the Thursday before the Hong Kong Sevens, just around the corner at So Kon Po Recreation Ground, with their final day on Friday in Hong Kong Stadium.

Fanwalk at Lee Gardens

Check out live broadcasts of the games, fun challenges and food stalls with rugby-themed menus. The Ninja Challenge is also back by popular demand; it’s a state-of-the-art ninja course inspired by an American television series.
