Here’s a quick recap if you missed the Academy Awards night on 24 February. Argo beat early favourites Lincoln and Life of Pi to win Best Picture. Competing against nominees Steven Spielberg (Lincoln) and Michael Haneke (Amour), Ang Lee won his second Best Director award for his 3D extravaganza Life of Pi, also this year's biggest winner with 4 awards. Lincoln's Daniel Day Lewis became the first man to win the Best Actor award three times, Jennifer Lawrence was named Best Actress at the age of only 22 for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. Skyfall’s title song by Adele marked the first time a song from a James Bond film has won an Oscar – a well overdue win.
